Proto II™ Post Tension Combined with Grouted Retaining Wall - 11'4" High Maximum

Where retaining exceeds 6 feet, Proto II™ offers a hybrid system utilizing 6 feet of 8-inch wide pure post tension and a 12-inch grouted retainer specially designed by Proto II™ Wall Systems. All the benefits of post tension apply, with efficient value designed into the entire system.

• Retains up to 6 feet in pure post tension, plus 5'4" grouted for a combined height of 11'4", level or 2:1 slope backfill.
• A Proto II™ Fence Wall, up to 6'4" may be installed on top of the retainer, for a total structure height of up to 17'4" under standard engineering. If required, greater height is available with additional engineering.
• Eliminates rebar and solid grout in the post tension portion.
• Uses 8-inch cmu in post tension portion, in many cases replaces 12-inch wide conventional retainers.
• Uses 12-inch cmu in lower, grouted portion, possibly replacing 16-inch conventional retainers.
